On Freedom

FREEDOM
Time passes me and in his eyes
I behold a vile laughter aflame.
A dark blanket of silence envelops me:
A silence that shackles my arteries of joy.
Is it that I should on some sunrise feel
The true worth of freedom?

Poet’s Perspective
A person ignored by time is overtaken by inertia. To break the shackles of inertia is difficult for empty silence kills both heart and soul. The mind waits for a new dawn a new awakening in the form of freedom. The same time that once ignored the person again gives him an opportunity to awaken and enjoy freedom. Time’s duality startles one.
